Thank you to GolfCharlie and Claude Code for fixing the code to work with the newly changed FAA API! They have saved a lot of time. A new image has been created and will be uploaded today and available later tonight. If you don't want or need the image, you can visit https://github.com/markyharris/livesectional and incorporate the changes into your board now.

There has been another change to the FAA API which has again broke the map. We are currently working on this. Check back for fix. If you have the fix please post it. - Mark
The instructions and website is great - looking forward to enjoying the interactive map.
On the Basic instructions, it mentions using a utility knife to slit down the edge and peel the rubber off the LEDs. The Rextin WS2811 lights I bought from the Amazon link appear to be a hard translucent plastic. Was this step mentioned due to a previous design for the LEDs, or was the model or coating changed? Or are folks removing the hard plastic covering over the LED light?
The LED's I've used had a rubberized coating that was fairly easy to slice and remove. I'm unfamiliar with the brand you mention so I can't provide any insights.
Most of the maps I've built, I've just left the protective coating on. In fact any of the STL 3D printed parts that are on the web site are set up to accept the LED's with that cover in place.
Maybe another builder will have some insights to share with you. - Mark
