Thank you to GolfCharlie and Claude Code for fixing the code to work with the newly changed FAA API! They have saved a lot of time. A new image has been created and will be uploaded today and available later tonight. If you don't want or need the image, you can visit https://github.com/markyharris/livesectional and incorporate the changes into your board now.

There has been another change to the FAA API which has again broke the map. We are currently working on this. Check back for fix. If you have the fix please post it. - Mark
I originally built a V2 sectional using the diode as was described and not the chip that is in V3. Using this external power supply https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0KLECZ/?coliid=I8EINQX9KXB24&colid=1FQTEL1UVBD8V&psc=0&ref_=lv_vv_lig_dp_it with V3 causes the lights to stay on in groups of 10 lights in different colors. Booted up in V2 it works fine.
At Bill's suggestion I am ordering the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XW2L39K/?ref=idea_lv_dp_ov_d chip as he says it's more stable with the power.
In the mean time using the USB micro power adapter powers the PI and the lights correctly. Just wanted to share my experience in case anyone is converting from the V2 to V3 setup as my project sat for a while.
That's interesting.
V2 handled changing the LED colors very differently than V3, where all LED's are controlled all at once. So my thought is that the power supply causing problems has a harder time keeping up with the load requirements of V3.
Let us know what happens when you get the new power supply and use the Level Shifter (which is a much better/stable way of shifting the voltage level). - Mark
