my board is set up update every 15 minutes faa weather and then 1 hour for age of metar — not sure what the difference is in those settings but that’s how it’s set up
Very frequently I’ll go to look at the board and see a lot of red/green/blue/pink for the various flight conditions but will also see quite a few grey/white dots indicating no weather data. This only happens at times and it seems that with the next update or two it seems to clear itself and be an appropriate color. It’s strange though because for example earlier today I saw Cleveland international CLE which is a huge Bravo airport was showing as no weather data and that seemed weird
how can I stop this from happening?
Sorry for the delay in answering. This is a normal condition as many times the data won't get updated in a timely fashion in the FAA systems. So the METAR data will be missing temporarily. - Mark
